Scrying

The Vanir's scrying mirror could shed some light on your problems, but activating it is far from easy.

1
Lady Idunn has been consulting with her council for days and is ready to meet with you. Their divination methods have not found an answer to the problems you have discovered so they will be trying other means.
2
Idunn once thought that Loki would be more suited to life among the Vanir but then she had remembered the trouble he caused and held her tongue. She is leading you towards some ruins.
3
Idunn leads you to a stone path leading to a lake. Loki recognises the lake as a powerful scrying mirror. It must be activated and you, mortal, are best suited to the task of channeling energy into it. Keep following the path.
4
The water has gone utterly still despite the wind. This is the first stage of waking the mirror.
5
Idunn will now travel to the right, and you three will go left so you meet at the viewing circle. The spires along the lake's shore are anchors and you must wake each and do it quickly. You reach the first spire and try knee lifts.
6
You walk slowly around the spire and it begins to turn.
7
Keep going until the spire stops...or does something more interesting.
8
Head to the next spire. The light has flowed along the path.
9
This tower looks different.
10
The spire is definitely different!
11
There's a wooden anchor. Perhaps it's supposed to turn?
12
The acid is beginning to form! Start moving to the next spire.
13
The next spire is already glowing.
14
Move quickly. Loki tastes acid in the air.
15
It isn't locked in.
16
It isn't moving. Walk in the other direction.
17
To the next spire!
18
At least the path forward is appropriately lit.
19
You're at the fourth spire.
20
The veins in this spire seem to be ice.
21
Keep walking while Loki tries the opposite direction.
22
Get moving to the next spire.
23
The next spire seems rather plain. Try your knee lifts.
24
The acid is getting stronger. Start walking.
25
Keep walking. Loki has an idea.
26
Knee lifts are no longer working, but Loki has had a think about it.
27
Loki thinks for the next spires you need to focus on power. Try running slowly instead of walking, but be careful.
28
You stepped through some acid clouds and yet your shoes seem completely unaffected.
29
Loki wonders if Thor is seeing the pattern to the spires yet.
30
The metal reminds you of some you saw in Nidavellir.
31
This spire represents Nidavellir which means the acid clouds eating at the anchors is very bad.
32
The next spire is Alfheim which means you should run counter-clockwise.
33
This is a scrying mirror made to span all of Yggdrasil.
34
The acid encroaches! Move!
35
Think of Asgard! Think of the sausage cart!
36
That one was easier but you're almost out of time.
37
The final spire is unadorned, and represents Vanaheim.
38
The clouds are beginning to dissipate!
39
The air is clearing. You should walk to meet Idunn.
40
Idunn greets you. The mirror will activate when you step onto the platform.
41
The water has gone clear and you can direct the platform with your movements. You can see the ley lines of Vanaheim in the mirror. Idunn says they look as they should, as do the ley lines of Asgard.
42
Idunn shows you that the Alfheim ley lines appear muddier and have moved out of place. These are troubling signs. The Nidavellir ley lines have also shifted.
43
Heven seems beautiful but it is difficult to see the ley lines. Midgard's ley lines have moved, but they are not as degraded as Heven's. Loki wonders if it is connected to the Valkyrie's mission, or your involvement.
44
The ley lines of Jotunheim are tangled, as are those of Muspelheim. Perhaps Surtur is causing this, but Idunn prefers not to speculate yet.
45
The ley lines of Svartalfheim seem less strained, and Loki speculates about Malekith. Niflheim seems unpleasant and the ley lines are disordered. Thor alerts you to a black fog creeping across the lake. You need to stop the mirror!
46
You may rest but you should shelter away from the lake. Someone noticed the scrying, likely the one who caused the warping of the ley lines. This is also why the Bifrost cannot function. There is no way home until the ley lines are untangled.
