Future Tense

You awaken on Krakoa and Jean explains their Resurrection Protocols. They've finished analyzing the data from Madripoor, and the Quiet Council, Krakoa's governing body, would like to brief you.

The Quiet Council assembles, and explain that Sinister has access to every mutant genome, including some that do not yet exist. Your efforts are being sabotaged by those with knowledge of the future. They want you to go to the future and destroy the Mutant Genome Codex.

Forge provides you with a 'time bangle' which should let you open a temporal wormhole – by running of course! He's programmed it to send you to New York, thirty-three years from now. Get running!

The Quiet Council is linked to you psychically. The future looks bleak, with New York almost a wasteland. You hear a tannoy announcement talking about Class-M citizens, and see a massive airship searching for mutants. Head towards it but stay under cover!

Times Square is empty, and the screens display an alert for a unregistered Class-M in the area. It's you, and you've drawn the attention of the citizens who begin to chase you.

The citizens block you off in an alley and prepare to attack you when another mutant shows up and drives them off. Once they leave, the mutant introduces himself as Cable. He's been briefed about you. The Sentinels will be here soon so you need to move.
