Sam explains the Zom Resurgence. Things were going great, defeating the undead. Now suddenly they’re not. His old home is gone, his old friends are scattered. Worse, there’s a crawling zombie on his tail.

Sam’s got a flare gun, so that’s something. But his ankle’s getting really bad, and the zom’s catching up.

Sam has a daughter. He remembers a poem about being brave. He’s climbing to the top of a hill, to light your way with the flare.

Sam’s on top of the hill. He could try to shoot the zombie with his flare gun. But he’s going to trust in you instead. He lights the flare.

You rescue Sam from the zombie; he knows you! You’re his old friend Runner Five! But… you’re supposed to be dead!
