1
You hear a voice asking where you are, then you hear Natalie and Shoshanna, but the voice says you need to be somewhere else. Alexander and Vivek fight away zombies, but it isn't time for that yet either. Go north, towards the ice. You are Marigold Carlson, in Alaska with your nephew, Robert Nestor. Robert is a leader in a community east of Juneau where you've lived since the zombie apocalypse. You're hunting but the dogs are unsettled. Maybe they can sense you and know that Aunt Marigold is not herself anymore. One of the dogs runs into the river and you need to get him back. You have to run.
2
The dog has seen something. There's a man on the glacier in very unsuitable clothes, and there's a bear! Roberts says they call the bears Gukyík Dagéix, and that man is in the bear's territory.
3
You reach the man on the glacier. He doesn't know how he got there. He's from Montreal, and his name is Bertrand. The dog barks and reminds you that the bear is close. Bertrand is staring at you – and you know why. Marigold has seen his face in her dreams.
4
You'll take a raft onwards. Bertrand asks about the zombies. Robert explains they don't make it this far out very often, and any that do freeze or are slow enough to shoot. He's very enthusiastic about the community they've built and is a good leader for them. Bertrand thinks he drove a long way, then walked when he ran out of gas. You know what he came to find, don't you? You're still being shadowed by the bear.
5
You climb up the ice ledge while Robert speaks to the bear. He shoots it with a rubber bullet as a warning, showing it what he's capable of. Another shot, and the bear finally leaves. Bertrand remembers firing a gun – he'd siphoned fuel from a truck but a man attacked him and bit his coat, so Bertrand shot him. He's shaking. You'd better get to the skiff.
6
Bertrand pulls off his coat – you can see a bite mark and he begins to cough. Bertrand came for Marigold, and he pulls out a chain looped through a steel key. He asks if Marigold was at the music festival back in '08. She was there with Robert. Bertrand begins to cry. Marigold says they passed out for 12 minutes and saw a tree made of stars. Marigold takes the key. Bertrand says it will open the door and begins to cough again. There is a gunshot.
