Training Mission 1

You and Jody are heading to Beeston with Janine, and need to get there quickly before a storm moves in. Abel is in poor spirits since rationing was introduced, and it's only a couple of weeks since the previous Runner five was killed. There's a few shamblers out but you should be able to lose them.

Some cameras have been lost over the winter but you look good. Janine demands your secrecy and admits that Abel's reserves are nearly exhausted – there's food and water for another fortnight, and fuel for a week at most. You need a reliable fuel supply.

The road ahead is full of cars containing bodies... and zombies. Beeston was quarantined by the army at the start of the outbreak, and you see evidence in the form of bullet holes. Janine sends Jody to scout and you switch off your headset to talk to Janine privately. Abel's situation is dire. Janine knows of your less than savoury past and thinks it might come in useful if Abel is to survive. There's a horde heading towards you. Head for the coast road!

The horde is still after you and Sam says he isn't getting visuals further up the road. Jody wonders what happened to all the ships and submarines that must have been out there on Z-day, and worries about the people they've had to turn away recently. Sam tells you that there's a group of bikers heading towards Beeston and they're drawing the zoms. They might be after the fuel depot!

You see the fuel depot, but the bikers are there siphoning the fuel. You need to get a closer look!

The gang has taken the fuel, and Janine despairs. To make things worse, the storm is rolling in and the horde is getting closer. You find a single can of fuel thought. Better than nothing.
